You'll be part of a full-stack creative team responsible for all aspects of ongoing software development — from initial specification through developing, testing and launching.

Responsibilities

• Full-cycle PHP CodeIgniter development, including debugging and performance analysis
• Write clean, well-designed code
• Build scalable, performance-oriented services using caching systems like Memcached and Redis
• Work with MySQL and distributed databases like MongoDB, Cassandra or Redis
• Strong database design and query writing with a focus on performance and efficiency
• Produce detailed specifications
• Troubleshoot, test and maintain core product software and databases
• Contribute to all phases of the development life cycle and follow industry best practices
• Develop and deploy new features and supporting tools where needed

Requirements

• Proven software development experience with the CodeIgniter framework
• Knowledge of MongoDB, Express, React, Angular.js, Node.js, AJAX, HTML, CSS, etc.
• Good knowledge of relational databases, version control and web services
• Passion for good design and coding practices, and a desire to develop bold new ideas
• Bachelor's / Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject

Proven expertise in handling end-to-end recruitment. You'll work with the CEO and Directors to plan HR initiatives that make the company a more efficient and rewarding place to work.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Plan strategic HR initiatives with the CEO and/or Director
• Direct all hiring and training procedures for new employees
• Educate employees on company policies and keep the employee handbook current
• Administer benefits, health plans and retirement plans
• Monitor employee progress and keep company culture positive and productive
• Foster cross-functional relationships between managers and employees
• Run regular progress reviews and handle grievances in an open environment
• Manage and supervise HR staff and ensure compliance with labour laws

Candidate Requirements

• Comfortable in a highly visible role; honest, ethical and dependable
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experienced in mediation and conflict resolution
• Strong stress management and decision-making under pressure
• 2+ years of management experience in HR
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and HRIS software
• A proven leader with strong interpersonal skills
